Evidence‑based climate and health planning strengthened

During the 2024–2025 biennium, Curaçao strengthened its capacity to address the health impacts of environmental challenges, including climate change, by completing, with support from PAHO, a climate and health country profile that translates complex data into information that can be accessed directly by decision‑makers to inform preparedness and investment priorities. PAHO’s contribution helped to operationalize the collection, analysis, and use of such data by generating high-quality climate–health evidence, translating it into actionable insights, and embedding it directly into technical cooperation and health sector decision-making.

This achievement strengthened capacity for anticipatory action, enabling Curaçao to move from ad hoc responses toward structured health planning, better manage climate‑related health risks, improve preparedness and resource allocation, and reinforce long‑term resilience in a small-island context.
