During the biennium, Honduras agreed on a national road map for 2025–2030 to accelerate the elimination of 17 communicable diseases and related conditions, strengthening intersectoral coordination under the leadership of the Secretariat of Health. PAHO translated a broad objective into an actionable plan by designing and leading the methodological process, providing evidence and prioritization tools, and facilitating intersectoral and inter agency workshops to agree on actions, responsibilities, and coordination mechanisms.
The systematization of results and technical drafting ensured operational clarity for implementation and monitoring. The resulting plan organizes priorities, integrates the efforts of institutions and partners, and guides interventions to reduce health gaps, contributing to sustainable public health outcomes and advancing the Disease Elimination Initiative in the country.
