PAHO provided continuous technical and administrative support to Nicaragua to strengthen procurement processes for vaccines, supplies, and health technologies through the Regional Revolving Funds.
Cooperation focused on demand planning, process monitoring, and ensuring timely access to quality products at affordable prices, contributing to the sustainability of public health programs. The significant increase in procurement volume through the Regional Revolving Funds reflects the implementation of USD 53 million under the agreement signed between the Organization and the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit for the purchase of health technologies.
Strengthening the Regional Revolving Funds contributes to reducing morbidity and mortality from preventable diseases, improves access to essential technologies for all, and reinforces health system resilience, in alignment with national and regional priorities.
