Capacity to advance toward elimination of malaria strengthened
In the context of efforts to advance the elimination of malaria in the wider Guiana Shield, French Guiana strengthened its capacity to reduce transmission. PAHO provided sustained virtual coordination, joint planning, and engagement through the Guiana Shield Strategic Committee, enabling strengthened cross‑border collaboration with Suriname and Brazil to address persistent transmission corridors.
