In September 2025, PAHO launched a corporate evaluation of the Technical Cooperation on Health Workforce (HWF), formerly known as Human Resources for Health (HRH). Its objective was to assess the relevance and coherence of PAHO's technical cooperation to strengthen HWF in the Region within the framework of PAHO's Strategic Plan, the mandates of the Governing Bodies, and contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and to assess its effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability during the period 2018-2024, taking into account the post-pandemic context of PAHO and the Member States.
